FleetRandellRandell Alfred Fleet, age 89, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather lovingly known as “Grandpa” passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2014, at his home after a lengthy illness.

Randell was born June 1, 1925 in Bangs, Texas, to Arthur and Corrine Fleet.  He served in the United States Air Force during World War II, 1941-1945.  Randell married the love of his life, Loudena Mims, in Brownwood on December 14, 1945; they were married 69 years.  He retired after many years from his business, Randell Fleet Tune-Up Service.  He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; one sister; and one granddaughter.

Randell is survived by his wife, Loudena Fleet; two daughters, Pamela Lack and husband Aubrey of Justin, Debra Joy-Blackburn and husband Daniel of Houston; three sons, David Fleet of El Paso, Dwight Fleet and wife Karen, and Johnny Fleet; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Randell will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2014 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Rev. Lyn Rice and Bro. Bill Slaymaker officiating, interment will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 3-5 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home.
