Funeral services for Ralph Eugene McCullogh will be held on Wednesday, September 17th at 1 PM at the Davis Morris Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Tuesday, September 16th from 6 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home.

Ralph went to be with Jesus on September 14, 2014.

Ralph was born on January 15, 1928 in Tom Green County, Texas, son of Ralph Earl and Isabell Emeline Cooper McCullough. He had two sisters, Lynda Yvonne who married Richard Lance McGough and Gwynn Odette who married William Fredrick Heathcock.

He was raised in the farming community of Veribest, Texas and received his elementary education there. He graduated from Eola in 1944. He received his technical and advanced education at San Angelo Junior College, U.S, Navy electronics and airborne ordinance schools, National Schools and Southern Methodist University.

He married Joyce Nell Joiner on December 5, 1945 and they had two children, Richard Earl and David Eugene.
Ralph served in the U.S. Navy from 1945-1947 and was discharged with the rank of ARM2C. He served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve from 1948-1956 and was discharged with the rank of First Lieutenant.

He was employed by Humble Oil and Refining Company (now Exxon-Mobil) from 1951-1958. His major responsibility was as an engineer in the Exploration Geophysics Group. He was employed by Texas Instruments Inc. from 1958-1990 in Quality and Reliability Assurance Engineering and Management.

Ralph was a member of the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM), the Institute of Environmental Sciences (IES) and the Electronic Industries Association (EIA). He chaired the ASTM Committee on Hermetic Seal Testing (1980-1984) and the EIA Government Liaison Committee (1984-1990). He was a member of the EIA Quality and Reliability Engineering Committee from 1973-1990 and a member of the EIA Engineering Council from 1985-1990. He served as a U.S. Representative to the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) Technical Committee on the Semiconductor and Microeletronic Devices from 1983-1990.

He accepted Jesus Christ at the age of 13. He served as a Sunday School teacher, deacon and on many church committees as an adult.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joyce Nell Joiner McCullough and his sisters Lynda Yvonne and Gwynn Odette.

He is survived by two sons, Richard Earl McCullough and his wife Tamberly and David Eugene McCullough and his wife Kathy and three grandchildren; Robert McCullough, Amy Boykin and Gina Williams and six great grandchildren.
