Beginning this Friday and continuing through Saturday, “Pamper Me for the Holidays” will feature quilting demonstrations by members of the Brownwood Quilting Guild. Guild member Doris Rice stated, “Throughout the show, members of our organization will show the latest trends and techniques for quilting enthusiasts including ‘Ruler’ Demo on Friday evening by Angela McCorkle and I will do a ‘T-shirt’ demo.” Rice concluded, “On Saturday, we will have an on-going ‘hand quilting’ demo by Sheila Smith all day in addition to a repeat ‘T-shirt’ demo, ‘English Paper Piecing’ demo, and ‘Applique’ demo.”
The show hours will be Friday, Nov 11 from 5 to 9 PM and Saturday, Nov 12 from 10 AM to 5 PM in the Brownwood Coliseum. Admission to the event is $3 on Friday and $5 on Saturday. Advanced passes for Saturday are available at the Chamber through Thursday for $3. “Pamper Me for the Holidays” is sponsored by the Brownwood Rotary Club and proceeds benefit the club’s Student Dictionary Project for Brown County Third-Graders.
