The past year was a very productive year for the fourteen women of the Quilters Guild at Grace Lutheran Church. Over the last twelve months, these women made 126 quilts.
These beautiful and warm hand-made quilts will be donated to local charities including Good Samaritan Ministries, the Rainbow Room, and The Ark as well as to the worldwide relief efforts of Lutheran World Relief. Whether you’re a cold, hurting child in Brown County, a victim of a flood or tornado in the Midwest, or a displaced person in Africa, you might very well be warmed by quilt from the freely given time and talents of these loving ladies.
In their own words, “We donate these quilts in hope they will bless each and every hand they touch.”
The Quilters Guild has been making and giving away quilts for nine years. Next month, the Quilters Guild will begin making quilts all over again for next year. If you are quilter, or would like to learn, please feel free to join these ladies as they “use their gifts in ministry to the people of the world”—all are welcome.
If you would like to help this ministry through donation of money, material or batting, please contact Grace Lutheran Church at 325-646-2045.
