PAWSBannerBrownwood Community Advisory Council is having a Proud Pet Photo Contest in which winners’ pet photos will be used to make a calendar in order to raise funds for Brownwood Community Advisory Council for the Benefit of TYC Youth.

PAWS Proud Pet Photo Contest Official Contest Rules:

Are you a proud pet owner? Would you like to see your pet’s picture published in a calendar?

Contest Period: All photos must be received in the Community Relations Coordinator’s office by 4p on November 19th.

Who may enter: Open to anyone, except the CAC panel of judges and professional photographers.

How to enter: Submit as many photos of your pet(s) as you would like.  Do NOT submit photos with people visible in them.  On the back of the photo, label with your name and the pet’s name.   Multiple animals may be in one photo and may be judged in the multiple pets photo category.  Contact Penny riggs at 325-641-4241 for entry form and photo waiver form.

Entry fee: There will be a $1 entry fee per photo, non-refundable.  Half of all entry fees will be donated to the Corinne T. Smith Animal Center and the other half as well as the proceeds from the calendar will benefit the Brownwood Community Advisory Council for the Benefit of TYC Youth.

Entry Requirements: By submitting your photo(s) to the PAWS Proud Pet Photo Contest, you give us an irreversible continuous royalty-free right to use your photo(s) to promote the PAWS Proud Pet Photo calendar fundraiser. You must be the copyright holder of the photo(s).  Photo(s) must be suitable for public viewing. The pet in the photo must be owned by the person entering the photo.  You may suggest the category, but it will be the sole discretion of the committee to make final category determination.  Participation constitutes your full and unconditional agreement to these contest rules and judges decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the PAWS Proud Pet Photo Contest. Photo(s) will be returned if labeled with owner’s contact information and a self address stamped envelope is provided.   Participates must sign the PAWS Proud Pet Photo Contest waiver for each photo entered.

Judging: The photo(s) will be displayed with no identifying names/marks/labels on them in the chapel on November 29th for view.  A panel of CAC members will judge the photos and their scores will added to obtain the winners. The CAC panel judges may NOT enter the contest.

Judging panel will be judging on the following:

  • Overall impression
  • Creativity
  • Photo quality

PRIZES: The top 12 winning photos will be published in the first annual CAC PAWS Proud Pet Photo Contest calendar.

  • 1st Place Pet of the Month Title and Certificate, $100 Gift Card, Pet Gift and Calendar
  • 2nd Place Pet of the Month Title and Certificate, $50 Gift Card, Pet Gift and Calendar
  • 3rd Place Pet of the Month Title and Certificate, $25 Gift Card, Pet Gift and Calendar
  • 4th Place Pet of the Month Title and Certificate, $15 Gift Card, Pet Gift and Calendar
  • 5th Place Pet of the Month Title and Certificate, $10 Gift Card, Pet Gift and Calendar
  • 6th Place Pet of the Month Title and Certificate, Pet Gift and Calendar

Order your calendar today!  Calendars will be a suggested minimum donation of $10 and available for delivery or pick up on December 15th.

Half of all entry fees will be donated to the Corinne T. Smith Animal Center and the other half as well as the proceeds from the calendar will go to the Brownwood Community Advisory Council for the Benefit of TYC Youth for the PAWS Program and be used to enhance the rehabilitation of TYC youth.  Please make checks payable to the Brownwood Community Advisory Council for the Benefit of TYC Youth.  Donations are tax deductible.
