Early voting ended on Friday, May 23rd in the Primary Runoff Election with more than 1,000 voters in Brown County casting their ballots as election officials get set for the Primary Runoff Election on Tuesday.
Throughout the week-long early voting period, a total of 1,173 registered voters cast their ballots. This included 1156 Republicans and 17 Democrats. According to Larry Franks, Brown County assistant elections administrator, these numbers represented about 75% of the 2012 runoff (1,546 voters), and for the Democrats, 74% (23) after four days of early voting.
For Primary Runoff Election Day on Tuesday, May 27, all voting will be held at the Adams Street Community Center (511 E Adams Street, Brownwood, TX) from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.County offices being decided in this Republican primary runoff include District Clerk between Cheryl Jones and Brenda Arp; Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2 between Bob Wall and Mike Holder; and Constable, Precinct 3 between CT Ham and Roy Parrack. The winners of each of these seats do not have opponents in the November election.
