Howard_Payne_logosmallThe Howard Payne University Athletic Training Education Program will present a brownbag lunch discussion featuring Paul Waller, president of the Christian Sports Medicine Alliance, at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 29, in the Balcony Room of HPU’s Mabee University Center

The public is welcome to bring a lunch and listen to Waller discuss spreading the Word of God and joy of Christ’s love to the world through sports, medicine, and cross-cultural and mission opportunities.

“Waller will show our students how they can take their degrees from HPU beyond their future professions to the greater good of impacting the world for Christ,” said Mike Terrill, assistant professor of athletic training and director of the Athletic Training Education Program.

Kara Taylor, assistant athletic trainer at HPU, recently went on a mission trip through the Christian Sports Medicine Alliance.

“It is a great organization that gave me the opportunity to share my skills as a sports medicine professional with the people of the Philippines this past summer,” she said. “I am excited to share this experience with the HPU and Brownwood communities and encourage other sports medicine professionals in future mission opportunities.”
