Pre-sale tickets for Good Samaritan Ministries’ Empty Bowls Project are now on sale.
Now an anxiously awaited annual event, the Empty Bowls Project has added a new twist to their hunger awareness event. In addition to regular tickets, special bowl preview tickets are available for $20.
Pre-sale ticketholders may come to the coliseum from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM and have first choice of all the bowls. The new pre-sale tickets allow mothers of school children to purchase a bowl that perhaps their son/daughter may have painted or someone who cannot attend the event during regular hours a chance to select a bowl before the event gets underway. Ticket is good for one bowl. They can then come back and enjoy some soup at their leisure from 11 AM to 7 PM. Preview tickets are limited. They are also available at the GSM offices or from any board member.
The Empty Bowls Project will be held Thursday, March 28 at the Brownwood Coliseum and tickets to the event are now available at the GSM office at 305 Clark Street or from any GSM board member.
With a regular ticket, you may come to the coliseum any time from 11 AM to 7 PM, choose a hand-painted ceramic bowl and enjoy a simple meal of soup, bread and water.
At the end of the meal, take your empty bowl home as a reminder of those in our own community who have empty bowls and empty stomachs.
