All seven sections of Mrs. Geye’s Pre-AP Physics class built and tested catapults for a class project.
The winning catapult was built by Presley Parker, a junior. It hurled an object 11.13 meters (39 feet). The secret to its success? Mrs. Geye said that it was designed with 180 degrees of rotation and launched at 45 degrees.
Pictured below is Presley Parker’s winning catapult (Black with jungle theme). Pictured to left and pictures following the winning catapult are other catapults built by BHS students.
