Local insurance broker, Robert Porter, announced his recent appointment as the Brown County Republican Chairperson at Monday’s meeting of the Brown County Commissioners Court.
Porter stated that Sammie Stewart, the former Republican Chair, recently announced that he would not be running on the upcoming March ballot. At that time, the Brown County Republican Party appointed Porter to the position to lead the group immediately.
Porter stated that filing dates for Republican candidates will be from November 14, 2015 for one month, through December 15 at 6:00 PM. Porter will be on the ballot and stated that any Republican interested in being a candidate in the March Primary Election should contact him during the filing period.Pictured above is Brown County Republican Chairperson Robert Porter.
