*Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of West Commerce Street at 12:41 p.m. on Friday, March 3rd, regarding a theft at the Stripes Convenience Store. Assistant managers reported the theft of $4,000 worth of Texas Lottery Tickets. Video surveillance from the store was collected and a known suspect has been listed. The investigation is ongoing.

*Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 200 block of West Commerce Street at 6:11 p.m. on Saturday, March 4th, in reference to disorderly conduct. According to the report, loud and profane language as well as exposure of “anus/genitals” in a public place occurred near a place of business. Officers spoke with witnesses and a report has been filed.

 

Friday, March 3rd

*12:09 a.m. Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop near the 1000 block of Coggin Avenue. After investigation, officers arrested Wyatt Fred Riley for Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Drug Free Zone upon discovering over 2 grams of psilocybin (mushrooms) in a plastic bag secured in a mason jar.

*7:02 a.m. Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Austin Avenue regarding a burglary. According to the report the residence showed signs of forced entry and power tools were reported as stolen. The investigation is ongoing.

*4:10 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to a hit-and-run incident near the 900 block of Bailey Street. Information was gathered and officers took photographs. A report has been filed.

*8:47 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of 15th and Coggin Avenue. After investigation, officers arrested Antonio Sanchez for Driving While Intoxicated. No other vehicles or individuals were involved in the accident.

Saturday, March 4th

*5:00 a.m. Brownwood Police were called to the 3900 block of Forrest Hill Drive regarding an assault. After speaking with the victim, officers arrested Margarita B. Valdez for Assault Causing Bodily Injury/Family Violence.

*12:42 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to a hit-and-run incident near the 3400 block of 3rd Street.

*4:19 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Crockett Drive for public intoxication. Officers arrested Rhonda Amador for public intoxication.

*11:28 p.m. Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Coggin Avenue regarding an unwanted person. Officers spoke with the suspect and the calling party. After investigation, officers arrested James Dee Young Jr. for Public Intoxication and Possession of Marijuana, less than 2 ounces.

Sunday, March 5th

*9:28 a.m. Brownwood Police were called to a south Brownwood address regarding a theft. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the complainant who reported an unknown suspect had stolen four hot water heaters from the back yard. A report was filed.

*12:53 Brownwood Police spoke with a walk-in complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding a theft. According to the report, nearly $200 in cash was stolen, and a known suspect was listed. A report has been filed.

*8:53 p.m. Brownwood Police conducted a probation search near the 2000 block of 10th Street. A citation for possession of drug paraphernalia was issued.

Monday, March 6th

*2:01 a.m. Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Avenue X and Austin Avenue. After investigation, officers arrested Pablo Eligio Palacios for Driving While Intoxicated, 3rd or more offense.
