Friday, September 8th

*1:00 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Avenue A in reference to a domestic disturbance. A report was taken to be passed on for further investigation.

*2:30 a.m. Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of W. Commerce Street. During the course of this stop, the driver Richard Puentes was arrested for driving while intoxicated after failing multiple Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Puentes was also charged with Possession of a controlled substance PG3 < 28 grams.

*12:00 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 200 block of Carnegie Street in reference to Criminal Mischief. A report was generated in reference to this incident.

*1:00 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 400 block of West Commerce Street regarding Organized Retail Theft >= $100 < $750

*3:17 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4400 block of Mimosa in reference to a hit and run accident that was possibly related to stolen vehicle. Brownwood Police Officers spoke with all parties and a report was generated for the accident and incident.

*4:59 p.m. Brownwood Police spoke with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding theft. An investigation is ongoing.

*7:02 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 1900 block of Durham Street in reference to Criminal Mischief.

*8:20 p.m. Brownwood Police met with a civilian at the Law Enforcement Center regarding the recovery of possibly stolen property. The person presented officers with a firearm that was confirmed to have been stolen from another county. The firearm was taken into evidence.

*10:39 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to Gordon Wood Stadium in reference to an intoxicated male in a vehicle. A concerned caller had told dispatch the man was drinking in his vehicle during the football game. A second caller had also alerted the police department about an intoxicated driver near the area. Officers located a car matching the description in the 3100 block of Stephen F. Austin.

Officers observed the vehicle fail to maintain a single lane, and also did not come to a complete stop at a stop sign. After making those observations, officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver was identified as Jason Brown.

As officers were speaking with Brown, they observed a seven year old child in the vehicle. Two cases of Keystone beer were also seen in the back seat. Officers conducted Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, and concluded Brown had been driving while intoxicated. Jason Brown was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Passenger. According to jail records, this is Brown’s second DWI arrest.

Saturday, September 9th

*3:09 a.m. Brownwood Police stopped in the 1800 block of Brady Avenue to conduct a welfare check on a female walking. The female was arrested for Public Intoxication, a Class C Misdemeanor.

*9:53 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of N Main Street in reference to a theft report. Jeannie Marie Hennington was arrested for Theft >= $100 < $750.

*11:25 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W Commerce in reference to theft. An officer spoke with the caller and a Citation was issued to the suspect for Theft of Property, Class C Misdemeanor.

*11:30 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 800 block of W Commerce, in reference to theft. After speaking with the caller, a citation was issued to the suspect for Theft of Property, Class C Misdemeanor.

*2:00 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 2500 block of Belmeade Street in reference to graffiti. A report was generated for this incident.

*4:52 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W Commerce Street in reference to a theft of property report. Tammie Heard Nye was issued a citation for Theft of Property < $100.00 and arrested for Possession of Controlled SubstancePG1 < 1g, Possession of Controlled Substance PG1 >= 1g<4g, and three counts of Possession of Controlled Substance PG3<28g.

Sunday, September 10th

*12:55 a.m. Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Baker Street and Main Street. During the stop, the driver of the vehicle was found to be intoxicated. Charles Elliot was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Elliot was transported to the Brown Co Jail, where he was processed and released to the jail staff.

*1:48 p.m. Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Austin Avenue for failing to stop at designated point. During the course of this stop, marijuana was found. Meghan Rhea Gray was arrested for Possession of Marijuana < 2 oz Drug Free Zone and Tampering/Fabricate Physical Evidence with the Intent to Impair.

*12:00 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 1200 block of 3rd street in reference to harassment.

*9:54 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to a north Brownwood residence in reference to a domestic disturbance. During the investigation, a male and female each claimed to have been assaulted by the other during an argument. An active report was generated regarding the incident.

Monday, September 11th

*12:29 a.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 1600 block of Borden Street in reference to a domestic violence investigation. Stetson Kelley was later arrested for a pardon and parole warrant and assault family violence.
