Friday, July 28th
*1:55 a.m. A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a black Ford Mustang in the Stripes parking lot at Belle Plain and West Commerce. After a consent search, the driver, Billy Blankinship, was arrested for Possession Controlled Substance Penalty Group1 less than one gram for a syringe package and 2 plastic baggies containing meth residue. The passenger, Zachery Huber, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 ounces for 1.3 grams of marijuana found in his sock.
*4:06 a.m. A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy and an Early Police Officer were called to a residence in Blanket regarding a domestic disturbance. While at the residence, the deputy reportedly observed Zachary Isham attempt to assault a female, who was injured and bleeding from allegedly being previously assaulted by Zachary Isham. Zachary Isham was arrested on multiple charges relating to assault family violence, and the female was transported for medical care.
*7:28 a.m. Brownwood Police located a watch at the police department. The watch was turned into the property room at the police department for safekeeping.
*11:33 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Davis Lane regarding a burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, an unknown suspect stole a hot pink iPod Nano, a white iPod Touch with a black and green case, a silver and black iPod Touch, a MacBook Pro which belongs to Brownwood ISD, and a wallet with identification.
*12:48 p.m. Brownwood Police arrested a 17 year old female for shoplifting over $100 worth of merchandise from a local business.
*1:00 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to a south Brownwood address for a burglary of a vehicle report. A possible suspect was named.
*3:00 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to a south Brownwood address for a burglary of a habitation report.
*6:37 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of West Commerce Street regarding a theft.
Saturday, July 29th
*8:30 a.m. Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of Indian Creek Drive regarding found property. According to the report, a man discovered a Ruger 9MM magazine containing rounds in his front yard. He stated the item did not belong to him, and turned it over to police.
*10:58 a.m. Brownwood Police arrested Constance Fenton in the 900 block of 2nd Street Possession of a Controlled Substance. Fenton was found to be in possession of hydrocodone, and tramadol.
*11:11 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 800 block of 6th Street in reference to theft. A complainant reported that a metal bird cage stand with wheels had been stolen from her front yard sometime during the night.
*6:03 p.m. A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy initiated a traffic stop on the US 84 in Zephyr on a white 2004 Buick passenger car. A consented search of the vehicle was conducted and 106 grams of hydroponic marijuana were located in the trunk of the vehicle. The deputy arrested the driver, Amber Dawn Walker, and the passenger, Tameka Leandra Walker for Possession of Marijuana 2oz<4oz in a Drug Free Zone.
*8:36 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to Coggin Park in reference to juveniles ‘smoking marijuana.’ The juveniles were located and issued a citation for possession of tobacco.
*10:54 p.m. Brownwood Police were patrolling in the 700 block of West Commerce Street when they observed a white Ford Explorer allegedly traveling at 57 mph in a 45 mph zone. The officer initiated a traffic stop in the 900 block of West Commerce Street. The vehicle slowed, but continued to the 100 block of Bluffview Drive where it came to a stop after the officer activated the police siren. The driver was identified as Aaron Ariaz of Dallas, Texas. The officer reportedly could smell a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the inside of the vehicle. The stop led to the arrest of Aaron Ariaz for possession of marijuana, less than 2 ounces, as well as the arrest of passenger Hector Gonzalez for an outstanding warrant.
Sunday, July 30th
*2:30 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Adams Street in reference to a citizen’s dispute. Upon investigation, officers arrested a man for Public Intoxication, a class C misdemeanor.
*4:43 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to a south Brownwood address for an assault. Christine Rayon was arrested for assault family violence.
*5:53 a.m. Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Indian Creek regarding a burglary of a building. A suspect forced entry through a window and allegedly stole $1,000 cash, an iPad, and other electronics. An investigation is ongoing.
*9:32 a.m. Brownwood Police spoke with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center who reported a stolen firearm.
*6:31 p.m. Brownwood Police spoke with a complainant who stated she had lost her black colored purse at the Lion Power Car Wash around noon. When she returned to the car wash, she discovered that someone had removed several items from the purse. A report has been completed.
Monday, July 31st
*12:30 a.m. Brownwood Police responded to the area of Center Avenue and West Baker Street for a call of a domestic disturbance with possible shots fired. Evidence was collected and a report for the incident was generated.
