Friday, June 30th

*12:17 a.m. A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a call from CR 317 regarding a motorist assist and parking violation. After making contact with the motorist, the deputy arrested Justin Musick for Possession of a Controlled Substance, less than 1 gram.

*12:40 a.m. Brownwood Police Department received a report of theft in the 700 block of Avenue J. According to the report, a black Mongoose Marauder bicycle was stolen.

*7:45 a.m. A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room regarding an animal bite. According to the report, a female was bitten by a raccoon that was fighting with her dog.

*9:56 a.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding forgery. According to the report a known suspect had allegedly passed several forged checks for varying amounts over a period of several months.

*10:28 a.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 700 block of Avenue J in regards to a burglary call.

*10:38 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to 1500 Terrace Drive regarding an assault.

*10:00 p.m. Officers with the Brownwood Police Department responded to the 1700 block of Melwood for a theft. A report was generated for this incident.

*11:44 p.m. Brown County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a civil standby at Kirkland Drive. While at the scene, the deputies were informed of an assault that had occurred a few hours prior to their arrival. A report was filed.

Saturday, July 1st

*12:15 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Campa regarding a domestic disturbance. A report was filed.

*2:01 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 100 block of Market Place Boulevard in regards to a hit and run call.

*3:04 p.m. Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop near the 1300 block of 2nd Street. During the course of this traffic stop, officers arrested Dustin Roberts for Possession of Marijuana, less than 2 ounces, in a Drug Free Zone.

*5:02 p.m. A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy witnessed a tan Chevrolet pickup turn out of the Sportsman’s Center parking lot heading south on Belle Plain Street. After noticing multiple traffic violations, the deputy initiated a traffic stop. Upon making contact with the driver, Kenneth Carl White, the deputy reportedly could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from White, who was then placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated with Previous Convictions (Open Container) and Unlawful Carry of a Weapon (Firearm).

*10:00 p.m. Brownwood Police received a  call in reference to a stolen cell phone in the 2000 block of Slayden Street. Upon further investigation, multiple suspects were identified and questioned. Investigation is ongoing.

*10:44 p.m. A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on North 279. The deputy identified the individuals in the vehicle and conducted a search. Multiple items of drug paraphernalia were located in a purse, along with a small red cut straw containing a small blue baggie containing methamphetamine residue and a crumpled cellophane wrapper containing methamphetamine residue. An occupant in the car, identified as Faith Shyanne Butler, claimed possession of the purse where the items were found. Butler was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1Gram.

Sunday, July 2nd

*12:00 a.m. Early Police received a call about a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of Industrial Boulevard. The caller informed officer they had witnessed a person “get out with a flashlight.” The vehicle was gone when officers arrived. Officers checked to make sure the building was secure before leaving the scene.

*2:00 a.m. Early Police received a call about a suspicious vehicle parked at a business with hazard lights engaged. No persons were located near the vehicle, which was locked. Officers checked to make sure the business was also secure.

*4:00 a.m. Early Police responded to a call regarding four intoxicated persons harassing customers and employees at Whataburger. The suspects left in their vehicle before officers arrived on scene. Early Police located the driver, Caleb Brice Reich, who was subsequently arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

*4:40 a.m. Brownwood Police arrived on scene of a traffic accident in the 1500 block of Main. After an investigation, a report was generated for Driving While Intoxicated was filed.

*9:53 a.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 1600 block of Avenue B in reference to a theft of a firearm. An investigation is ongoing.

*1:00 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Belle Plain Street regarding harassment.

*1:40 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 1600 block of Avenue B regarding a juvenile problem call. A juvenile was arrested and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.

*8:00 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 4100 block of 9th Street in reference to a disturbance. After investigation, Rudolfo Reyna was arrested for Assault Against Elderly or Disabled Individual.
