Friday, August 11th
*10:28 a.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 1500 block of Indian Creek regarding theft of narcotics. Officers spoke with a complainant and a report was generated for multiple counts of theft ranging from Class B Misdemeanor to State Jail Felony, along with a charge of Obtaining Dangerous Drugs with a Forged Prescription. A suspect had allegedly stolen several prescriptions from elderly residents. An investigation is ongoing.
*2:31 p.m. Brownwood Police patrolling in the 1400 block of Main Street conducted a traffic stop for driving over the speed limit. During the course of this stop, Christopher Michael Barninger was arrested for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions and Without Financially Responsibility.
*3:00 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 1100 block of La Monte for harassment. A report for assault by threat was generated for this incident.
*9:42 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Lackey in reference to an assault. The victim was assaulted with a hammer. The suspect is known and investigation is ongoing.
*11:33 p.m. Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the stop, the driver was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Omar Benitez Almodovar was arrested for DWI and was transported to the Brown Co Jail.
Saturday, August 12th
*1:49 a.m. Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation in the 2000 block of south US 377. During the stop a quantity of marijuana was located. Kaycee Musick was arrested for Possession of Marijuana <2oz.
*11:52 a.m. Brownwood Police patrolling in the 500 block of Austin Avenue conducted a traffic stop for speeding. Upon further investigation, narcotics were found in the vehicle. Stephanie Ann Flores was arrested and charged for Possession of Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1 Drug Free Zone and Endangering a Child.
*12:00 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 300 block of 4th street for a hit and run.
*4:30 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 4600 block of Delwood for a Theft.
*6:41 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 1000 block of Brady Avenue in regards to a motorist assist call. Joseph Jackson was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
Sunday, August 13th
*1:55 p.m. Brownwood Police patrolling in the 1000 block of Coggin Avenue conducted a traffic stop for an expired registration on a white Chevrolet passenger car. Marijuana was found in the vehicle and Felipe Antonio Ortiz was arrested for Possession of Marijuana<2 oz, in a Drug Free Zone.
*1:57 a.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 1800 block of Houston Street regarding a hit and run. According to the report, a vehicle struck a mailbox, large metal flower pot, and a fence. The vehicle fled the scene.

*12:14 a.m. Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of Main Street. Jared Crouch was arrested for Possession of Marijuana<2 oz.
