Saturday, March 11th

*Early Police stopped a vehicle in the 1000 block of Early Boulevard for driving with hazard lights activated. The driver, Warner Massingil stated he had no lights, prompting the usage of the hazards. A license check revealed four outstanding warrants. Massingil was placed under arrest for the warrants. A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of drug paraphernalia and marijuana.

Sunday, March 12th

*Early Police stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of Early Boulevard for speeding. As the officer approached the vehicle, he smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The officer questioned the driver, Elijah Jones, about the smell. Jones stated there was marijuana in the vehicle, but he thought “it had all been smoked.” The passenger, identified as Gabriella Deleon, stated there was “about an ounce left.” After searching the vehicle, the officer located five bags of marijuana totaling approximately six grams. Marijuana was also discovered in Deleon’s purse. Paraphernalia was also discovered. Both were transported to the Brown County Jail and booked for possession of marijuana.

 

Monday, March 13th

*A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy observed a 1999 Buick fail to signal continuously within 100 ft. of an intersection just after midnight. The deputy initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle at Main Boulevard and Locust Street. After making contact with the driver, the deputy arrested Michele Gillespie, charging her with Tamper/Fabricate Physical Evidence and Possession of Controlled Substance, less than 1 gram. The deputy also arrested Scott Coker for 2 counts of Tamper/Fabricate Physical Evidence. The deputy also arrested James Simmons for Possession of Marijuana, less than 2 ounces, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. All people arrested were transported to the Brown County Jail.

*10:28 a.m. A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to Coppic Ranch Road in Brownwood, regarding a theft of property. The complainant stated 40 joints of 2 7/8 in X 30 ft pipe were stolen from her property. A report was made and the investigation is still ongoing.

*10:35 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3300 block of 2nd Street in reference to burglary of a building and forgery. The officers arrived on scene and spoke with the complainant who reported a known suspect had allegedly broken into the residence and forged checks. A report has been generated.

*2:30 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to Walmart for a theft. Upon arriving, the officers spoke with the complainant who stated a male individual stole a pair of headphones. A report was generated and investigation continues.

*10 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Magnolia Street regarding criminal mischief. A report was taken to be passed on for further investigation.

*11 p.m. Brownwood Police made a traffic stop on a Red Ford Fusion for a Defective Tail Light (Driver Side). The officer made contact with the driver and the passenger and noticed the smell of burning marijuana. The officer searched the vehicle and located drug paraphernalia: a measuring scale, along with a “green, leafy substance” on the passenger side floor board. Both the driver and passenger were identified as minors, and citations for the drug paraphernalia were issued.
