Friday, December 30th

*8:40 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Avenue E in response to a welfare concern. After investigating it was determined an assault against an elderly person had taken place. Officers arrested Laura Dodge for Injury to an Elderly Person.

*9:30 a.m. Brownwood Police spoke with a walk-in complainant at the Law Enforcement Center were regarding an assault that occurred near the 2300 block of 11th Street.

*1:23 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to a business near the 1300 block of Austin Avenue. According to the report, an extension ladder was stolen from the location.

*3:02 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 500 block of Coleman for a domestic disturbance. After investigation, officers arrested Kevin McGee for Assault Causing Bodily Injury/Family Violence.

*4:12 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to Walmart in reference to criminal trespassing. Officers arrested Carol Applegate for Criminal Trespass after a loss prevention agent informed them of an active trespass warning for the business.

*5:07 p.m. Brownwood Police were called to an intersection of Beaver Street and West Austin Avenue in reference to a possibly intoxicated individual. After investigation, officers arrested Crystal Bates for Public Intoxication.

*6:48 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 1200 block of Avenue B in reference to an assault.

*8:00 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 1300 block of 7th Street regarding a theft. According to the report, a men’s 26 inch mountain bicycle was stolen.

*8:09 p.m. Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop near the 1100 block of Belle Plain. During the course of the stop, officers arrested Matthew Stangoni for Possession of a Controlled Substance, less than 4 grams.

 

Saturday, December 31st

*11:21 p.m. Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Poindexter and Southside Drive. A minor was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia and tobacco.

Sunday, January 1st

*1:29 a.m. Brownwood Police responded to a disorderly conduct call from the 1000 block of Coggin Avenue. A report was filed.

*2:23 a.m. Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop near the 2600 block of Vine Street. After investigation, officers arrested Laura Villarreal for Driving While Intoxicated.

*3:03 a.m. Brownwood Police responded to a domestic disturbance call from the 2100 block of Slayden Street. After investigation, officers arrested Gunner Holster for Public Intoxication.

*12:30 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center Emergency Room for a combative patient. Nurses reported a patient was “yelling and cursing” at the staff, and feared the individual might attempt to assault one of the nurses. After speaking to the suspect, who failed to comply with the officers, Christi Hale was arrested for Disorderly Conduct.

*2:43 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to a call from the 1500 block of Market Place Boulevard regarding a burglary of a habitation. An investigation is ongoing.

*3:22 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of US Highway 377 South in reference to an assault. An individual reported to have been assaulted by an ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend. An investigation is ongoing.

*10:29 p.m. Brownwood Police were called to Walmart regarding a theft. According to the report, items including a PS4 charger, a duffle bag, and a “Sky Viper” aerial drone were stolen. An investigation is ongoing.

Monday, January 2nd

*1:14 a.m. Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop near the 1800 block of Belle Plain Street. After investigation, officers arrested Devonte Evetts for Driving While Under the Influence – Minor.

*11:25 a.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 1900 block of Avenue D in reference to an assault. A juvenile suspect was listed and a report has been generated.
