Brownwood Police report that six people were arrested on Friday on drug related charges in two separate incidences.
According to Brownwood Police Department Assistant Chief of Police James Fuller, two people were arrested when officers with the BPD tactical response team executed a search and arrest warrant in the 2100 block of Ave E in Brownwood on Friday.
“This was the culmination of an investigation led by Detective Aaron Taylor into the distribution of methamphetamine in the community,” said Fuller regarding the arrests.
Fuller stated that at the residence, officers arrested 33-year-old Jerry Michael Poling after locating a quantity of suspected methamphetamine. Inside the residence, Officers also located prescription medication that was possessed illegally and arrested 27-year-old Crystal Maddox, he said.
The Brownwood Police Department was assisted in this case by investigators with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office in this ongoing investigation into the manufacturing and distribution of illegal narcotics.
Brownwood Police also arrested four men on drug charges Friday after information was received regarding illegal drug activity taking place in the 1900 block of Coggin Avenue, according to BPD officials.
BPD Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division, assisted by the Brown County Probation Department, conducted a probationary search at a residence and arrested four individuals for possession of marijuana.
Those arrested included 18-year-old John Dyer, 18-year-old Wyatt Hughes, 19-year-old Patrick Holeman and 21-year-old Luis Alvarado.
According to Assistant Chief James Fuller, the investigations of both cases are ongoing and more arrests are expected.
