The Christmas holiday is a time for giving and that is just what one 10-year-old from Early did when she donated to Locks of Love and it’s not the first time.
Kenzie Poindexter of Early donated 14 inches of hair on December 17th, the week after she turned 10. This is her third donation to date. She started donating at the age of only 4, giving 13 inches of hair and then a second time, giving 12 inches when she was 7. Her grand total at only 10-years-old is 39 inches to the Locks of Love organization.
According to her sister, Veronica Lawson, Kenzie has a giving heart, and by telling her story, Lawson hopes someone else might donate as well or just be inspired.
“She truly has the spirit of giving, and it is a gift to give in her opinion,” said Lawson. “She is an awesome kid.”
Kenzie attends Early Elementary and is in honors choir. She is pictured above with her stylist, Mandy at The Rage salon in Brownwood.
