Brownwood News – Pioneer Tap House opens today (July 24) in downtown Brownwood. Featuring Texas craft beers and Texas wines, Pioneer will be open from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm Wednesday and Thursday and 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm Friday and Saturday. Micah Jaynes (in photo) is the man behind the dream to bring people and community together with great craft beers. You won’t find major, name brand beers but you will find plenty of choices. “It’s all going to be Texas craft beers and Texas wine along with Texas based snacks. There will be non-alcoholic drinks too like Dublin sodas and root beer from Red Gap Brewing,” Jaynes said. Pioneer is starting with 18 taps but Jaynes says it’s endless the number and variety of craft beers they can bring to Central Texas. There is room for 120 guests at tables built by Micah himself. “I’m thankful for everybody who has been a part of this, this has been a huge journey,” Jaynes said. You can find Pioneer Tap House at 112 E. Baker, downtown Brownwood, across the street from Tres Leches Bakery.
