Guardian EMS and the Brownwood Fire Department responded to a traffic accident with injuries shortly before 6:30pm Wednesday between a pickup and a motorcycle. The accident, on the corner of 15th Street and Brady Avenue, blocked traffic for about 25 minutes while emergency responders tended to the injuries.
Initial reports indicate that the driver of the motorcycle sustained a head injury and injuries to his leg. First responders called for an air ambulance to be on standby for the motorcycle driver when they initially arrived on scene; however, emergency workers ultimately transported the man to Brownwood Regional Medical Center via ambulance. No word on the extent of his injuries as of Wednesday night.
Brownwood Police conducted the investigation of the incident. The cause of the accident is unknown and no other details were available as of Wednesday night.
