Funeral services for Peggy Miladeen Luker, 81 of Brownwood, Texas will be held Saturday January 28, 2012 at 2:30 P.M. at Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Ryan Smithey officiating. Interment will follow in the Baggett Creek Cemetery in Comanche County. Visitation will be Friday January 27 from 6-7 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Luker passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Oak Ridge Manor.
She was born May 28, 1930 in Brownwood, Texas, the only child of James Vernon and Ada Belle Goodson Taylor. She grew up in Brown County and attended school in Early, Texas. She was a homemaker. On June 15, 1946 she married Harvey Dwain Teague, together they had two sons. On May 1, 1967 she married William E. Luker in Enid, Oklahoma. Mrs. Luker was a resident of Brown County most of her life and was a member of the 4th and Stewart Church of Christ.
She is survived by two sons, Gary Teague of Austin, Texas and Terry and wife Pam of Brownwood, two step-sons Glen Zane Luker and wife Jeanine of Lipan and Paul Ray Luker. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Travis Teague and wife Aimee of Pflugerville, Megan Teague Delgros of Bangs, John Teague and wife Emily and Brian Teague and wife Melissa of Ft. Worth, six great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband William Luker, her parents and a step-father William Lawrence Heard.
