Peggy was born in Brownwood, Texas on September 20th 1946 to Harold McCurdy and Francis Wright. She graduated from Brownwood High School in 1964. She was a beloved mother, Nana, sister, and wife. She loved watching her children and grandchildren compete in sports. You could always hear her rooting for them in the stands. She cherished traveling across the states to watch her “Rocket” pitch the ball. Santa Clause had nothing on Peggy when it came to Christmas. She loved spending the holidays surrounded by family. She enjoyed her nights at the bingo hall with friends and family. She was always the life of the party and her smile lit up the room. She was compassionate, gracious, loving, feisty, outgoing, and a follower of Christ.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved Barney Westerman; children: Stacy Miller and husband Mitchell, Ashley Pruett, and Colby Pruett all whom she shared with Charles Pruett, as well as Barney’s daughter Kem Lechuga and husband Carlos; grandchildren: Shelby “Rocket” Miller and wife Amy, Sheldyn “Tutu” Rector and husband Nicholas, Sydney Miller, Spencyr Miller, Brooke Montemayor, Kassi “Lulu” Montemayor, Devon Montemayor, Chris Ledesma, Anthony Diaz and husband Danny, Richie Ledesma and wife Meagen, and Nate Lechuga; brothers: Robert “Bobby” Wright and James McCurdy; and a number of cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
