The Pecan Valley Kiwanis Club has earned the designation of Distinguished Club for club year 2014-2015 from The Texas-Oklahoma District of Kiwanis International. Pecan Valley is 1 of 25 clubs in the Texas-Oklahoma District to receive this award, and the club is 1 of 9 clubs in Division 12 to receive the award.
The award is based on points earned for community involvement, support of youth organizations, (specifically Key Clubs), member participation, and other Kiwanis based activities.In addition, Deborah Price received the Distinguished Secretary Award and Roy Parrack received the Distinguished President Award. Presenting these awards is Pecan Valley Club member and Past Leiutenant Governor Morris Horton.
