AgriLifeLogoThe Texas AgriLife Extension Service Brown County Office will conduct a pecan grafting program on Tuesday April 12th.

Anyone interested in learning about grafting pecan trees is urged to attend.  The program will be held at the USDA Pecan Station on C.C. Woodson, just behind Tractor Supply Company. The program will be held from 12 noon – 1 pm.

This Lunch-N-Learn program is sponsored by the Brown County Master Gardeners Association.   Mr. Tommy Thompson, USDA Pecan Specialist will provide instruction for the program.  The Texas Inlay Bark Grafting method is the primary one which will be taught.  Program participants will be able to try their skills at applying pecan grafts.
