Funeral Services for Pearl Bobo, age 83, of Brownwood, will be held Friday October 07, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Davis-Morris Funeral Home with Tom Washburn and Ted Kell officiating, interment to follow at Antioch Cemetery in Brown County. Visitation will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Davis-Morris Funeral Home. She passed away Wednesday October 05, 2011 in Brownwood, Texas. Pearl was born on November 27, 1927 in Comanche, Texas to J.G and Bertha (Parson) Rushing.
She married Cullen Bobo on August 19, 1948 in Brownwood, Texas; she was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and active member of Austin Avenue of Church of Christ. Pearl also enjoyed sewing and quilting, and loved traveling with her husband Cullen.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Cullen Bobo, 2 daughters; Nancy Guffey and husband Larry of North Richland Hills, TX; Peggy DeHay and husband Steve of Lubbock, TX. 3 grandchildren; Amber Graham and husband Cory of Lubbock; Tyler DeHay and wife Kerrie of Lubbock ; Matt Guffey and wife Allison of Denton, TX. 2 great-grandchildren; Connor Guffey and Lily Graham. 3 sisters; Elouise May, Ima Jean Turner, and Pat Clark. Also, numerous nieces and nephews. Pearl is preceded in death by her parents, J.G. and Bertha Rushing, a brother; Doyle Rushing, and a sister; Bernice Cantwell. Memorial Contributions may be made to Cherokee Home for Children.
