Paula Fay Paskewitz, age 47, of Zephyr, passed away Thursday evening at Hendricks Medical Center in Abilene following a short illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Justin Gowin officiating. Burial will follow in the Zephyr Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
She was born March 13, 1966 in Brownwood, the daughter of the late Thomas and Jonita Thompson Coleman. She graduated from Brownwood High School and later took training to be an activity director after working as a nurse’s aide. She was married to Curtis Paskewitz in Brownwood on November 2, 1985. She had worked as a driver for CARR, the Brownwood ISD, Zephyr ISD, and in the food service at Early and Zephyr ISD. She had lived in Brown County most of her life except for a short time in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
She was a loving mother and enjoyed being with her grandchildren whom called her Momo. She not only was their mother and grandmother, but a true friend as well. She loved to travel to the casinos and gamble and work in her garden.She is survived by her husband, Curtis Paskewitz of Zephyr, a son, Ryan Paskewitz of Zephyr, two daughters, Joanne Melton and husband Zachary of Early and Amber Paskewitz and husband Ray Card of Early, four grandchildren – Jayden Paskewitz, Aiden Melton, Brianna Paskewitz, and Teagan Melton; a sister –Amanda Reynolds and husband Michael of Brownwood; two brothers – Thomas Coleman, Jr. of Brownwood and Mario Coleman of Zephyr, an aunt, Juanita Cox and husband Jackie of Early and several nieces and nephews.
