Paul Thomas “Tommy Paul” Buffington, age 62, of Brownwood passed away Monday, January 11, 2016, at his residence.
A Memorial Service for Paul will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with John and Betty Buffington officiating; interment will be private at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.
Paul was born December 25, 1953, to James Allen and Faye (Cheek) Buffington in Limestone, Maine. Paul worked as a diesel mechanic for many years. He was a man of faith and loved his Savior, Jesus Christ. Paul enjoyed being with his family.
Paul is survived by his wife Sylvia Buffington of Brownwood; sons, John Allen Buffington and wife Julie of Rising Star, and James Mack Buffington of Brownwood; daughters-in-law, Erika Lenz and Brandy Watkins both of Brownwood; daughters, Reba Faye Buffington of Brownwood, Andrea Lynn Buffington and wife Whitney Lyon; 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Alice Gann of Baird; brothers, Gary Buffington and wife Betty, Earl Mendez and wife Tina of Abilene, Robert Mendez of Abilene. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews that he loved dearly.He was preceded in death by his parents James Allen Buffington, Sr. and Faye Mendez; step-father, Rickey Mendez; son, Jeremy Ray Buffington; brother, James Allen Buffington, Jr.; and sister, Dona Buffington.
