Patsy W. Moore, age 82, of Franktown, Colorado, died Sunday, March 19, 2017 in Parker, Colorado. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 24, from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, Coleman, Texas. A service will be held on Saturday, March 25, at 12:00 noon at the Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
She was born on December 30, 1935 in Abilene, Texas, and grew up in Coleman and Runnels counties, graduating from Santa Anna High School in 1954. Her parents were John Luther Williams and Dollie Irene Jennings Williams. Patsy married Leo Moore in Santa Anna, Texas on September 4, 1955. The minister was her brother, Jim Williams. Her bridesmaid, Winona Bradley, became her sister-in-law two months later when she married Jim. Patsy worked as an accountant for the State of Colorado and was involved in the Colorado State Patrol Association, Douglas County Historical Preservation Board, Franktown Historical Society, and American Legion Auxiliary. She recently participated in various AMICA events, including performances at the Governor’s Mansion, Parker Days and other venues. She was involved in political events, and worked for several candidates, including Governor Owens, Mike Coffman and George W. Bush. She was able to attend the inauguration of President George W. Bush in Washington, D.C.
She is survived by two sons, Tommy Moore of Metairie, Louisiana and David Moore of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Moore, and a friend, Kenneth Hodge.
