Funeral Services for Patsy Ruth Anderson, age 83, of Early, Texas will be 2:00 PM Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the Heartland Funeral Home with Tim Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Staley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM prior to the service. Miss Anderson passed away Friday, May 01, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Patsy was born January 7, 1932 in Brownwood, Texas to Charles L. and Montye Garrett Anderson. She was a graduate of Early High School where she was a star softball pitcher. After graduation she attended Texas Women’s University. She was a veteran of the United States Air Force where she served as the Officers Club Bookkeeper. The Air Force flew her all over the country to also play ball. She was a star softball pitcher for them as well. After being honorably discharged Patsy began her career with Knapp Polly Pig in Houston, Texas and retired after 32 years of service.
Patsy had an unconditional love for animals, family and friends. She loved going to the Senior Citizens Center to play 42 and often winning.
She is survived by her companion and best friend of 33 years Melanie Naylor; niece Debbie Perkins; nephew Bo Perkins and wife Melissa; great niece Chayley Perkins; special extended family Lissa and Roger Opio and by numerous cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Montye Anderson; sister Bernice Perkins and husband Willard; nephew Charley Perkins and great nephew Jacade Perkins.
