sinclareAfter a long battle with Parkinson’s, Patsy “Pat” Sue Findley Sinclair, 80, of Brownwood passed away from this life on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the CARE Nursing Home. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM to 7:00PM Sunday, January 6, 2013, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home, 800 Center Ave. in Brownwood. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00AM, Monday at Bangs First United Methodist Church with Ricky McClatchy and Michael Redmond officiating. Assisting as pallbearers will be Robert Tambunga, Will Hoover, Jeff Findley, Scott Findley, Jeb Edwards and Jack Sinclair.  Burial will follow at Bangs Cemetery.

Pat was born on March 30, 1932 to C.D. and Velma Findley in Richland Springs, Texas. She married C.H. Sinclair in Bangs, Texas in October of 1951. They were married for 51 years.

Pat devoted her life to her family. She was a wonderful “oldest” sister to her brothers and sisters. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, wife and grandmother who will be greatly missed. Pat was a teacher in the public schools for 30 years. She taught at various grade levels, but her last 17 years in education were spent teaching first grade in Ozona, Texas. She loved teaching which was a family tradition passed to her and she passed on to her children and grandchildren.

Pat is survived by her 3 children, Jan Wilson and husband Richard of Midland, Texas, Kim Horton and husband Danny of Brownwood, and Kelly Sinclair and wife Cheryl of Belen, New Mexico;  grandchildren,  Jason and Johna Swopes, Zeno and Jeana Witten, Clint and Tammi Beck, Kade and Ethan Horton, and Cody, Ben and Jacob Sinclair; great grandchildren,  Josh and Jenna Swopes, and Jaden Clary; sisters, Sammy McClatchy and husband Garner, and Joy Jacobs; brothers,  Ray Findley and wife Jean and John Harper and wife Donna and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, C.H. Sinclair; parents, C.D. and Velma Findley; sister Vickie Findley and brother Donnie Findley.
