Graveside Services for Patsy Lou Beard, age 62, of Brownwood will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at Eastlawn Memorial Park with Bobby Machen officiating. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.
Patsy went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 27, 2015.
Patsy was born on July 18, 1953, to Francis and Dessie (Foster) Burditt in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She attended Milton Ave Baptist Church. Patsy managed numerous convenience stores in and around Brownwood. Patsy worked at T.R. Havins Unit as a Correctional Officer for 9 years. She was a member of Correctional Peace Officers Foundation.
Patsy is survived by her children, Gregory Parson and wife Loretta of Navasota, Karissa Dean and husband Anthony “Tony” of Brownwood, Kevin “KP” Parson of Brownwood, Tiffany Beard and fiancé Javier Contreras of Brownwood; grandchildren, Brittany Dixon, Shania Dixon, Ostyn Parson, Micheal Dixon, Destanie Parson, Javier Contreras, Jr., Izabella Contreras, and step-grandchild, Kyra Dean; sisters, Josie Caudill and husband Jack of Zephyr, Barbara Cavanagh and husband Joe of San Antonio, June Tankersley and husband Allen of Lake Eufaula, OK; brother, Robert Burditt of Brownwood; she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, two aunts, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Dessie Burditt; 2 nieces; 2 nephews; and 1 great-great-niece.
