Patricia Marie Gardner, age 83, of Brownwood died Saturday, October 22, at Oakridge Manor Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Tuesday, October, 25, at the Church of the Living God, 1413 13th St., Brownwood with Pastor Marcus Wasson officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenleaf Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
She was born November 4, 1927 in Minneapolis, Minnesota the daughter of the late Frederick and Irene Leary Natus. Following graduation, she married Stanley Gardner in Minneapolis in 1946. She worked as a ZMT Operator for the Federal Postal Service for over 20 years in Minneapolis and moved to Brownwood in 1993 following retirement. She was a member of the Church of the Living God in Brownwood.
Mrs. Gardner loved her family and enjoyed visits from her grandchildren and doted their accomplishments in life. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. She loved to read and study.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Marcus Wasson of Brownwood
Grandchildren, Kevelle Bailey and husband Charles of Brownwood, Angel Jones and husband Randy of Belton, Shauntel McGlothin and husband Derrick of Brownwood, and Marquisse Jones and husband Kendrick of Brownwood
Great-grandchildren, Rashad Deal, Asiyah and Anias McGlothlin all of Brownwood, Kiana Wasson, D’avion Wasson, Jalyn Jones, and Octavious Jones all of Belton
Her brother, Kenneth Natus of Minneapolis, Minnesota
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Stanley Gardner, and a grandchild, Denae Wasson.
