Patricia Ann Blackstock Jones, born November 14, 1933 in Old Glory, Texas passed away May 29, 2018 at her home of 50+ years in Brownwood.
Pat was a woman of many talents with her greatest accomplishments centering around supporting her husband with the many sacrifices required of an Army wife, and loving her family and extended family with her entire being. Pat also served her community as a pharmacy tech, a clerk at Nathan’s Jewelry, proprietor of Brownwood Health Food Store and almost 20 years serving as a volunteer at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. Pat’s true passions included travelling anywhere and everywhere and following Brownwood Lion football with her longtime best friend, Betty George.
Pat leaves behind a son, Jeff Jones; grandson, Brandon Jones; and two special girls, Jackie Knotts and Nancy Blackstock Richards, who were important additions to her family. Other family members surviving her are sisters, Vivian Knotts of Tennessee, Ruth Van Pelt of Louisiana and Mary Davis of Brownwood; and brothers Thomas Blackstock of Brownwood and Jay and Nancy Blackstock of Mullin. Also included in her family circle are numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, J. C. Jones, who was her best friend and the love of her life. Pat also lost a son, Mike Jones, and three brothers, Gene Blackstock, Joe Blackstock and Bobby Blackstock.
Funeral services for Pat will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
