Outgoing Brownwood ISD school board trustees Michael Coppic and Nesa Morelock were honored at Monday’s school board meeting for their service to the board.  This was the last school board meeting for the pair with new board members being elected in the upcoming November 6th election.

School officials held a reception for them during Monday’s BISD school board meeting.

“We would like to thank them for all of their hard work and dedication to our board of trustees,” said BISD Superintendent Reece Blincoe.

Coppic and Morelock each received a plaque of appreciation for their years of service to the board.

Diane Thompson is the only candidate to file for Morelock’s position on the board for Place 2 in the upcoming election.  Brad Jetton has filed for Coppic’s Place 5 position on the board.  Neither candidate has an opponent.

Place 4 will have three candidates, incumbent Eric Evans as well as challengers Brant Baugh and Stanley Walker, Jr. who have filed for a place on the ballot in that position.
