Ouida Pearl McCulloch Frick, 92, passed to eternal life to be with her Lord and Savior on July 2, 2019 at her home in Bartonville.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Richard Hetzel officiating. Burial will be in the Coleman City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman.
Ouida was born April 7, 1927 in Coleman to Beamus Wilber McCulloch and Neva Minatra McCulloch. She grew up in Coleman and graduated from Coleman High School in 1944. She went on to attend Draughn’s Business College in Abilene. On September 28, 1946, she married James Douglas Frick in Coleman and they had four children. Ouida’s past endeavors include years as a homemaker, working for Life of the Southwest Insurance Company in the accounting department and file room and working at several banks in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex area. Ouida always kept books for the family business, Lewisville Pool Service and Southwest Gunite, a job she did with great pride. Ouida also had a wide variety of hobbies, from her love of taking care of her family to her love of gardening in her flower beds and taking care of her rose bushes that she admired greatly.
Left to cherish her memory is one daughter, Charlotte Mullins of Bartonville, one son, Ronnie Frick and wife, Norma, of Gainesville; five grandchildren, Marni Tyson and husband, Charles, of Bellevue, Bubba Mullins and fiancée, Morgan, of Celina, Aaron Frick and wife, Kristi, of Lubbock, Max Frick and wife, Wendy, of Amarillo, Bonnie Morton and husband, Roger of Spearman. Also surviving are eight great grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Laverne McCulloch of Warrensburg, Missouri, Doris McCulloch of Coleman, Mildred Koehler of Lamesa, Evelyn Frick of Comanche and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, J.D. Frick; two sons, Doug Frick, James Lyle Frick who died in infancy; two sisters, Overa Rufle, Peggy Baker; three brothers, Tommy McCulloch, B.W. McCulloch, Max McCulloch and son-in-law, Jim Mullins.
Ouida was loved dearly and we will mourn her loss, but will have peace knowing she is in the presence of God and those that have gone on before her.
