The Brownwood community once again came together to support their own with a brisket sandwich fundraiser for a family who lost their 4-year-old daughter in a tragic accident earlier this week.
Guardian EMS hosted the fundraiser at the Lenhis Museum in Brownwood, accompanied by several volunteers from different businesses and organizations. Organizer Kim Peterson reports that the fundraiser was a great success.
“We served over 600 people and well exceeded our expectations,” said Peterson. “We hope it’s a great help to the family.”
People not only came in for the tasty meals but also left donations above the requested price per plate.
Many stated that this is one of the reasons “Brownwood Feels Like Home, when we all come together to support our citizens like family in their time of need.”
For those who could not attend today’s fundraiser and would like to contribute a donation to the family, please contact Kim Peterson at 325-217-2210.
