Brownwood News – St. Mary’s ABC Academy will have Open House from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm this Sunday, July 28. St. Mary’s ABC Academy is a bilingual school for children ages 3-5 years. Students attend three days each week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. The school will open on Tuesday, September 3rd. In order to focus on students learning and success, the student should be potty trained.
The Academy has a teacher with a B.S. Degree who has 34 years of experience and a bilingual aide. The schedule includes a 15 minute Spanish lesson and they integrate Spanish in all the subjects. The Academy teaches about God using Bible stories. They also teach math, precursors for writing letters, letter recognition, science and crafts. A 40-minute recess is built in for children to socialize and learn to get along with others.
Their mission is to ignite the potential in each child, engaging children in the joy of learning through spiritual and intellectual discovery in a creative and collaborative environment.
