Brownwood News – There is a non-profit in Brownwood working to put people on a positive path forward.  Brown County Home Solutions has been around a few years.  They have, through the help of the community, built four tiny homes at 1101 Avenue D and have a concrete slab poured for tiny home number 5.

Thursday morning, in preparation for the next occupants of one of the tiny homes, members of Freedom Fellowship Church in Early were decorating and putting on the finishing touches so that the gentlemen who moves in this Saturday has everything he needs.

Brown County Home Solutions has a Board of Directors which is led by Toni Hill.  Toni is the manager at McCoys Building Supply in Brownwood.  (She is shown in the photo on the porch of one of the tiny homes.)  Other B.C.H.S. board members include Linda Waldrop, Tony Cruz, Jessica Wiley, Bettie Evans, Lyn Day, Glen Williamson, Shenika Arredondo, Harold Hogan, Ethel Cooney and Bob Snyder.

Through their work, families and individuals, at-risk of becoming homeless, are assisted.  If you would like to help with a donation, the website address is www.bchstx.org.

This Saturday, June 15, the public is invited to an Open House at the tiny homes from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm.  During the Open House, two new residents will move into their homes.
