Brownwood emergency responders were dispatched to a one-vehicle accident in the 1400 block of Coggin Avenue Monday night involving a pickup that struck a utility pole.
The accident occurred across the street from the Wes-T-Go convenience store at approximately 6:15 p.m. The Ford extended cab pickup struck the utility pole causing major damage to the pole and the front end of the vehicle.
According to initial reports, the male driver was transported to the hospital for evaluation and treatment of his injuries, the extent of which was not reported at the scene.Brownwood Fire Department, Brownwood Police Department and Allegiance EMS responded to the scene of the accident.
