One man was injured as a result of a one-vehicle accident on Thursday morning under the Truman Harlow Overpass.

A Chevy Silverado extended cab pickup struck a concrete support under the overpass just before 8:00 a.m. injuring the driver who was later transported by ambulance to Brownwood Regional Medical Center.  According to a witness, the pickup was traveling northwest on 4th Street when it came across the northbound lanes of Main Street and struck the concrete support pole of the overpass.

The male driver was the only occupant of the vehicle according to emergency responders.  The extent of his injuries was not released at the scene.

The pickup sustained severe damage to the front-end along with damage to most of the body of the vehicle as a result of the impact.

Brownwood Fire Department, Brownwood Police Department, and EMS responded to the scene of the accident.
