Brownwood News – One person died and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Runnels County on Monday, January 20. The accident was reported at 1:29 pm approximately 8.25 miles south of Ballinger on U.S. Highway 83.
According to the preliminary report released by the Texas Department of Public Safety, Susan Marie Rodriguez, 60, of Lytle, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Suburban.
The other vehicle, a 2017 Nissan Armada, was occupied by the driver, Brandon Wayne Clifton, 36, of San Angelo and Kelly Morgan Clifton, 35, of San Angelo. Both were taken to Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo for treatment of their injuries.
The crash is under investigation by the DPS.
