A two-vehicle wreck in Coleman County Wednesday afternoon, July 31, resulted in the death of a man from Dalhart, Texas.
The wreck was reported at 1:09 pm approximately 8 miles west of Coleman on Highway 153, in a no passing zone on a hill just west of the westernmost entrance to Hords Creek Lake. The man killed was the lone occupant of a car which came to rest upside down in the ditch on the north side of the road. The other vehicle was occupied by a mother and her 8 year-old son. They were treated for minor injuries on scene but did not require transport to the hospital, according to officials at the scene.
The name of the victim has not been released by the Department of Public Safety.
