A two-vehicle accident at C.C. Woodson Road and Williams Ranch Road Tuesday afternoon injured two people with one patient being air lifted.

The accident occurred at approximately 5:25 p.m. on Tuesday when a blue Chevy Trailblazer traveling on Williams Ranch Road attempted to turn onto C.C. Woodson and was struck by a silver van, according to witnesses on scene.

The impact of the collision caused the van to jump a curb, travel through a fence and come to rest on a high spot in a pasture.  The front-end of the van was badly damaged and resulted in the entrapment of the female driver, who had to be cut out of the van by firefighters.  The male passenger was transported by helicopter to Hendricks Medical Center for possible head injuries, according to emergency responders on scene.  The female was transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center by ambulance for evaluation and treatment of her injuries, which appeared to be non-life threatening, according to emergency responders.

The two male occupants of the Trailblazer appeared to be uninjured.

Early Police Department, Early Volunteer Fire Department, Brownwood Fire Department, Brown County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Department of Public Safety, Allegiance EMS Service and Air Evac LifeTeam responded to the scene of the accident.
