Brownwood first responders were called to the Truman Harlow Overpass for a single vehicle accident involving a motorcycle Monday morning.
The accident occurred at approximately 7:50 a.m. According to first responders on scene, the motorcyclist was traveling in the northbound lanes of Main Street, near the Coleman Street intersection, when he lost control, jumped the curb, and collided with the wall of the overpass.
The middle-aged male driver was not wearing a helmet according to first responders. He was conscious, but said to be in serious condition, and was airlifted to Hendrick Hospital in Abilene for treatment of his injuries.
Brownwood Police Department, Brownwood Fire Department, Lifeguard EMS, and Air Evac Lifeteam responded to the scene of the accident.
