OmerPointerGraveside services for Omer Theodore Pointer, age 81, of Brownwood, will be held Friday October 19, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at Eastlawn Memorial Park with Ruben Packer officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Davis-Morris Funeral Home. He passed away Monday, October 15, 2012 in Abilene, Texas. Omer was born on May 08, 1931 in Three Sands, Oklahoma to Jack and Beulah (Ester) Pointer.

He married Mona (Malone) Pointer on June 02, 1950 in Salem, Illinois; he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Omer was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Brownwood. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family at Lake Brownwood; he also liked collecting coins and guns. Omer completed 28 years of service with Texaco, and he belonged to the VFW Post #8231.

Omer is survived by 1 son; Jack Pointer and wife Julia of Brownwood, 3 daughters; Debbie Bronner and husband Joseph of Cincinnati, Ohio, Patti Pointer of Lubbock, Texas, Lisa Ward and husband Leroy of Lubbock, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchild; 2 sisters; Marion Myers and June Risinger.
