Olene Falkner age 93, of Brownwood, went to be with the Lord her Heavenly Father, on March 22, 2014 at her home. Olene was surrounded by her family and friends when she passed. Born on September 11, 1920, in Dressy, Texas. She married Daniel H. Falkner in Pioneer, Texas on December 7th 1940. Olene was a homemaker, and she was a member of The Worship Center of Brownwood, Texas.
Oleneis preceded in death by her parents; her husband Daniel, granddaughter Rhonda Blankinship; four sisters, Gladys Smith, Virgie Baugh, Minnie Fore, and Fay Fleming. Two brothers; Charles and Vernon Dillard; and one son-in-law, W.O. Anderson.
Olene is survived by her four daughters, Earlene Justice and husband James, Verda Anderson, Rita Buris and husband Kenneth, Jean Kellar and husband Danny and one sister, Oleta Pinkston and husband W.C.. Nine grandchildren, eighteen great grand-children, and five great-great- grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Olene are scheduled for 2:00 PM,on Wednesday, March 26th, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home, 800 Center Avenue. Brownwood. Burial to follow at Cross Plains Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6pm-8pm at the funeral home.
