Olen Ray ‘Bones’ Ham, 72, of lake Brownwood, passed away Friday morning at his home.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Mt. Olive Cemetery near Paris, Texas, with burial to follow under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early. Visitation was held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday.
He was born on June 22, 1940, in Lamar County, Texas, the son of J.L. and Dollie Mae Pierce Ham. He was married to Beverly Harrell in Levelland on Dec. 30, 1991. He had worked in the oilfield most of his life prior to moving to Lake Brownwood two years ago and was a Baptist. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a supporter of the National rifle Association.He is survived by his wife, Beverly Ham of Lake Brownwood; five daughters, Robbie Ham of Levelland, Paula Ryan and husband Delbert of Oklahoma, Jackie Treadwell and husband Robert of Oklahoma, Shelly Benton and husband Kent of Littlefield and Sue Beth Montgomery and husband Tim of Levelland; three sons, Levi Ham of Lubbock, Michael Pittman and wife Christine of Midland and mark Pittman of Lubbock; seven grandchildren, Tapanga Pittman, Colton Talk, Kyler Benton, Casey Crowell, Ashley Benton, Brittany and Fran; several great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ivy Fendley of Paris, Edwina Alexander of Lindale, Jerry Nell Stout of Clarksville and Juanita Arnold of Paris; and several nieces and nephews.
