Brown County Sheriff Bobby Grubbs released information on Monday regarding the arrest of a suspected drug dealer through a cooperative investigation with the West Central Texas Inter-local Crime Task Force (WCTICTF) based in Abilene and the Brownwood Police Department.
At about 10:00 o’clock on Monday morning, Brown County Sheriff’s Deputies executed a drug search warrant in the 1400 block of Avenue A in Brownwood. During the rain, Deputies forcibly entered the residence and arrested Charles Brown with no further incident. Brown was the target of an ongoing investigation by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office for methamphetamine trafficking in the Brown County area and the residence was known for criminal activity according to the Sheriff’s press release.
Deputies and assisting officers seized methamphetamine, marijuana, a small amount of currency, stolen property, and supportive evidence of the distribution of methamphetamine according to the release. Deputies are continuing the investigation with the assistance and cooperation of the WCTICTF (drug task force) and the Brownwood Police Department.
Brown was charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1 (Methamphetamine) 4 g -28g Drug Free Zone and Possession of Marijuana, Class B Misdemeanor.
