The following is an email written Wednesday morning to Chief Deputy Bobby Duvall of Brown County Sheriff’s Office. The author, Aaron Taylor, agreed to have it published as a letter to the editor. The following is a personal communication from the officer and does not reflect the views or opinions of the Brownwood Police Department with which Taylor is employed.
Chief Duvall,
I wanted to write you and the Sheriff a quick email and thank you and your agency for the assistance with my search warrants last night. As always, your agency and its employees selflessly, professionally and willingly assisted our agency with enthusiasm and without complaint. When I experience this, and I do on a daily basis from the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, I think it embodies a pristine example of inter-agency cooperation. As we all know, drug enforcement is pervasive and does not distinguish between respective agency lines. I am continually impressed by the cooperation I receive from your employees and cannot imagine a better working relationship. I am deeply grateful for the opportunities provided by your agency to help refine my skills as a narcotics investigator. I try to express my verbal appreciation on a frequent basis to you guys but I think it is important to author a quick note that serves as a more tangible reminder of my gratitude to you and your cohorts. In my opinion, the Brown County Sheriff’s Office and its employees illustrate a perfect example of servant leadership. I also believe that servant leadership starts at the top and works its way down the line.
Once again, thank you for all the cooperation that I received last night and on a daily basis!
Humbly,
Aaron Taylor
